Today in Yael's class we're making speeches and holding mock elections for Israel's Knesset (Parliament). I am representing Balad, a Palestinian Israeli party.

Welcome to the stories of Becca's summer in Israel! The Main Page serves as a traditional "blog," with stories and pictures from my adventures. Posts labeled as "Class Notes" are summaries of the things I'm learning at the Hebrew University. "Program Details" gives further explanation about the Study Abroad programs I am completing. Notes from my experiences with peace groups and observations of women's experiences will be provided on the "Field Notes" page. "The Yakhad" is the text of a paper I wrote about the Essene community made famous by the Dead Sea Scrolls. An essay on developmental issues in Israel will be written on the "Issues in Development" page. Hope you enjoy!
