First Reading Reflection
I have just completed the book we were requested to read in preparation for our time in Israel. The book was written by a journalist and is a good introduction to the many peoples and cultures currently living in and around Israel.
I learned a great deal. However, what sticks out in my mind the most (partially because it is in one of the later chapters) is this fun fact:
In Israel, prostitution is legal but pimping (i.e., owning a brothel or making money off another person's prostitution) is not.
I am not, in fact, planning to personally make use of this particular law during my time abroad. I know you're all shocked.
